Gary Hogsett
Gary Hogsett, P.E., CEM, LC, LEED-AP, is nationally recognized as a leader in the energy management field. Since 1982, he has provided consultation and training services for the U.S. government, many state and local governments, and private companies throughout the U.S.
Mr. Hogsett currently serves as the President-elect for the international Association of Energy Engineers.
Mr. Hogsett is also widely recognized as one of the most passionate and entertaining public speakers in the energy management field. Although he resides in Wichita, he has spoken all over North America, from Minnesota to Puerto Rico, and from California to New Jersey.
Over the last 20 years, he has given hundreds of presentations regarding energy management and alternative energy to a very wide variety of groups and conferences, including International Facility Managers Association (IFMA), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), Power-Gen Renewable, DistribuTech, Rotary meetings, Chamber of Commerce meetings, renewable energy conferences, home energy shows, etc. He has been selected as a speaker at the World Energy Engineering Congress on 12 different occasions. He has also won 1st Place in ten Toastmasters International public speaking competitions.
Mr. Hogsett served as the President of Peak Street Energy, where he was responsible for providing energy studies, as well as engineering design for hundreds of facilities. He has also been employed by Johnson Controls, Burns & McDonnell, and Holophane Lighting. He also served as the Kansas State Energy Engineer, where he was responsible for the State’s energy grant programs. Prior to that, he served as an Energy Analyst for the Oklahoma Energy Analysis and Diagnostic Center, where he provided analysis and consulting to industrial facilities throughout Oklahoma to assist them in reducing energy consumption. Currently, he is a Senior Energy Management Specialist for the Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center.
